Kara Young is new to Cost of Living while Gregg Mozgala has been with Martyna Majok’s play since its first reading almost a decade ago. But they have the kind of easy camaraderie you expect from longtime costars. That's understandable since Young plays Jess, the caregiver to Mozgala's character John, who uses a wheelchair because of his cerebral palsy. The two share many strikingly intimate moments on stage in the Manhattan Theatre Club production, so comfort with each other is key. We brought these powerhouse performers together to talk about their respective journeys with this Pulitzer Prize-winning play, the best (and worst!) jobs they've ever had and why Cost of Living marks a watershed moment for actors with disabilities on Broadway. If you weren't able to tune in live you can watch a recording below. Captions are available.
