Bring your A game to our Tony Awards predictions game
---
Welcome to the 2020 Tony Awards... in fall 2021. Yes, it's been a long, dramatic road to the ceremony, which will unfold in two parts on Sunday, September 26. Most trophies are being given out from 7 to 9 p.m. ET in a program hosted by Broadway legend Audra McDonald on the subscription streaming service Paramount+. Then, at 9 p.m. ET on CBS, Hamilton's Leslie Odom Jr. emcees the two-hour Broadway's Back! concert, featuring performances by a slew of shows including best musical contenders Jagged Little Pill, Moulin Rouge! and Tina: The Tina Turner Musical. The major awards—best play, best revival of a play and best musical—will also be announced during that special.
Of course, you don't need to watch the ceremony to play our Tony Awards predictions game. You just have to know how to pick winners. With 12 nominations, Slave Play is the most-nominated play in history, but will it be named best play? Adrienne Warren seems like a shoo-in for best performance by an actress in a leading role in a musical in Tina, but Karen Olivo late of Moulin Rouge! or Jagged Little Pill's Elizabeth Stanley could cause an upset. Although Aaron Tveit is the only nominee for best performance by an actor in a leading role in a musical for his work in Moulin Rouge!, he could still lose! After seven nominations, will Danny Burstein finally get a statuette for best performance by an actor in a featured role in a musical for Moulin Rouge!? And there's lots of head-to-head action, too, with cast members in Jagged Little Pill, Moulin Rouge!, Slave Play and The Inheritance competing in the featured categories.
Even if you're not confident that you can call all the outcomes, you might as well try. After all, our Tony Awards game is FREE to enter! Two champions will be chosen at random from the entries that correctly predict the most Tony winners. The prize is $100 credit for TDF members, or a $100 TKTS gift certificate for non-members. Members can take the quiz here, while non-members should go here. All entries must be received by 6 p.m. ET on Sunday, September 26, the day of the Tony Awards.
