Cowriters and costars Marla Mindelle and Constantine Rousouli chat about their 'Titanic' parody

Like many hilarious satires, it started out as a goof. What would a send-up of James Cameron's 1997 Oscar-winning epic Titanic look like as a stage musical as seen through the eyes, songs and vibrato of Céline Dion? But soon longtime friends and Broadway vets Constantine Rousouli (Hairspray, Wicked) and Marla Mindelle (South Pacific, Sister Act) realized they were onto something special—that's how Titanique set sail. Over the past few years, the cowriters and costars—she channels Céline, he plays starving artist hunk Jack—have been working on the piece, and this Sunday, they're taking the musical on its maiden voyage with a one-night-only live-streamed performance from NYC's Le Poisson Rouge. But first they're making a pit stop at TDF! Join us on Wednesday, April 28 at 3 p.m. ET on TDF's Facebook page as these cutups talk about what a long crazy trip Titanique has been and why they believe their humor will go on... maybe even to Broadway.
