Spring 2026 at New York City Ballet showcases a breathtaking swathe of repertory, contrasting classical brilliance with contemporary style. Two Mozart-scored George Balanchine ballets—a revival of Symphonie Concertante and the glittering favorite Divertimento No. 15—spotlight his talent for visualizing music. Other founding choreographer highlights include Balanchine’s refined Concerto Barocco and Jerome Robbins’ contemplative In Memory of…. Edwaard Liang’s undulating Distant Cries returns to the NYCB stage after more than two decades, and new works include the world premiere of Principal Dancer Tiler Peck’s second creation for the company and the NYCB premiere of Christopher Wheeldon’s evocatively sparse Continuum. Two beloved story ballets round out performances: the bewitching fairy tale Firebird and the beloved full-length comedy Coppélia, in which Principal Dancer Megan Fairchild will deliver her farewell performance.
