Dramaturg Gwendolyn Alker has spent the last three years recovering the long-lost script; this production, directed by Alice Reagan, will be the first revival since Fornés directed its premiere in 1980 and will feature Fornés’s long-time scenic and costume designers, Donald Eastman and Gabriel Berry. Ellen Lauren (SITI Company, Suzuki Company of Toga, Juilliard School) and Violeta Picayo (Bedlam Theatre Company, One Year Lease, SITI Company, SuperGeographics) will bring the words of Fornés and Evelyn Brown to life in a production that honors the original production and seeks to reinsert this work back into the Fornés canon.
