The stars of Broadway's first play since March 2020 talk about making history
---
Opening a show is always intense, but as the first play on Broadway in almost 18 months, Pass Over faces some unique challenges. Yet stars Jon Michael Hill, Namir Smallwood and Gabriel Ebert are thankful to be back on stage doing what they love in a show they have a long history with. Three years ago, the trio appeared in Antoinette Chinonye Nwandu's critically acclaimed one-act at Lincoln Center's Claire Tow Theater. Now they're reprising their roles in a revised version of this powerful play inspired by Waiting for Godot, the biblical story of Exodus and the ongoing reckoning with racism in our country. TDF brought these Pass Over stars together for an intimate chat on our Facebook page. If you weren't able to tune in live, you can watch a recording below. Captions are available.
