Tamika Lawrence and McKenzie Kurtz love making audiences laugh. And they both get to do that a lot in Broadway's The Heart of Rock and Roll, the new musical rom-com featuring the hits of Huey Lewis and the News. Lawrence is Roz, a no-nonsense HR manager with a wild side, while McKenzie is Cassandra, the number-crunching boss who falls for a rock-and-roll-playing employee. We brought these costars together to chat about amusing onstage mishaps, their favorite audience interactions and why they love sharing, to paraphrase Huey Lewis, "The Power of Laughs."
