Even though in-person theatre and dance are back in full swing, in the name of accessibility we're continuing to round up performances to watch online from the comfort of home. Our carefully curated list spotlights the five best options to stream this weekend, Friday, March 22 to Sunday, March 24, for free or at low cost.

The Green Room 42: Melissa Errico: An Acoustic Evening with Sondheim & Melissa

Live-streaming Friday, March 22 at 7 p.m. ET for $26.50

In honor of Stephen Sondheim's birthday, the luminous Broadway soprano Melissa Errico presents an inventive tribute concert to the late, great songwriter, weaving his work together with the words of other acclaimed New York writers, including novelist John Updike, to create a portrait of an imaginary Manhattan woman. Actors Theatre of Louisville: I Am Delivered't

Live-streaming Friday, March 22 at 7 p.m., Saturday, March 23 at 2 and 7 p.m., and Sunday, March 24 at 2 p.m. ET for $39
The lauded Actors Theatre of Louisville is currently presenting the in-person premiere of I Am Delivered't and you can live-stream the final weekend of performances at home courtesy of The League of Live Stream Theater. Jonathan Norton's queer comedy centers on a pair of same-gender-loving church folks fighting to be their authentic selves. Amen!

National Theatre at Home: The House of Bernarda Alba

Streaming starting Friday, March 22 for $10

In 2020, London's lauded National Theatre launched its own streaming service featuring professional stage captures of its productions. While you can buy a subscription, shows are also available to rent individually. New to the roster is director Rebecca Frecknall's acclaimed 2023 revival of Federico García Lorca's The House of Bernarda Alba, starring Olivier Award winner Harriet Walter (Mary Stuart, Succession) as a steely widow who imposes eight years of mourning on her household. A 72-hour rental costs $10 and captions are available. It's just one of many fantastic National Theatre shows you can stream, so be sure to browse the entire list.

URHERE: The American Truth and Reconciliation Play

Live-streaming Saturday, March 23 at 2 p.m. ET for $10.
Avant-garde theatre-maker James Scruggs' latest work, The American Truth and Reconciliation Commission, is premiering on HERE's digital platform URHERE this Saturday. An interactive investigation of the legacy of slavery in our country, the show puts the American Experiment on trial with the help of an AI entity, conjured by the audience in real time. The URHERE site is a little tricky to navigate, but once you create a log in, just hover over the circles to figure out where to go. The American Truth and Reconciliation Play is only available as a live-stream!

My Favorite Things: The Rodgers & Hammerstein 80th Anniversary Concert

Streaming starting Sunday, March 24 at 7 p.m. ET for $20.

Last December, musical theatre stars from both sides of the pond gathered at London's Theatre Royal Drury for a special, one-night-only concert celebrating the songs of Rodgers and Hammerstein. Now the performance is available to stream from March 24 to 31. The lineup includes six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald, Moulin Rouge! The Musical Tony winner Aaron Tveit, two-time Tony nominee Patrick Wilson, three-time Olivier Award winner Maria Friedman, two-time Olivier Award winner Michael Ball and Olivier nominee Julian Ovenden, plus special guests Rita Moreno and Andrew Lloyd Webber. A glorious, 40-piece orchestra accompanies the performers.
