Even though in-person theatre and dance are back in full swing, in the name of accessibility we're continuing to round up performances to watch online from the comfort of home. Our carefully curated list spotlights the five best options to stream this weekend, Friday, February 23 to Sunday, February 25, for free or at low cost.
Streaming Saturday, February 24 at 7 p.m. ET for $28.50
Tony winner André De Shields may be best known for his thrilling performances in the musicals The Wiz, Hadestown and The Full Monty, but he's more than a triple threat. In 1984, he cowrote, codirected, choreographed and costarred in André De Shields' Haarlem Nocturne, a musical collage celebrating his formidable talents. Although the show was short-lived on Broadway, it had some exhilarating numbers, some by De Shields himself as well as his musical director/costar, Marc Shaiman, who went on to cowrite Hairspray. At this intimate cabaret, De Shields recalls this very personal production by sharing songs and stories and even welcoming a few special guests (we're hoping for Shaiman). Streaming live from the cabaret club's swanky stage. If you prefer to attend in person, click here for info.

NYC's Red Bull Theater, which revitalizes undersung classics, presented an in-person reading of Molière's The Imaginary Invalid on Monday and you can watch a recording through Sunday. Mark Linn-Baker stars as the title hypochondriac, who's so obsessed with his phantom ailments that he doesn't realize he's being fleeced by everyone around him, including his new wife. Jesse Berger directs a cast that also includes Tony winner Annaleigh Ashford and perennial scene-stealers Will Brill and Arnie Burton.

Everybody say, "Yeah, yeah!" Catch the exuberant West End production of Kinky Boots starring Olivier Award winner Matt Henry as drag diva Lola, who helps shoe manufacturer Charlie (Killian Donnelly) inject some fabulousness into his factory. Although the musical examines serious subjects such as homophobia and father-son estrangement, it's mainly a celebration of friendship and being true to yourself, with catchy songs by Cyndi Lauper and a heartfelt book by Harvey Fierstein.
