Edwin Bates, Mars Rucker and L Morgan Lee on performing in the groundbreaking musical
A Strange Loop star L Morgan Lee just made history as the first openly trans performer to be nominated for a Tony Award. But she's not the only cast member in Michael R. Jackson's critically acclaimed "big, Black and queer-ass great American musical" to be expanding representation on Broadway. Understudies Mars Rucker and Edwin Bates are both genderqueer, and all three performers are thrilled to be helping to lead the way for gender-nonconforming theatre artists. Join TDF on Wednesday, June 8 at noon ET on our Facebook page or YouTube channel for a fabulous and inspiring conversation with these trailblazers as they talk about bringing their whole selves to the rehearsal room and stage, what it's like being an understudy on Broadway these crazy days and which actors they would cast to play their inner thoughts. Captions will be available.
A Strange Loop is frequently available at our Times Square TKTS Discount Ticket Booth.
