Glenn Davis and Rajiv Joseph on why their new show's a slam dunk
---
Theatre brought playwright Rajiv Joseph and actor Glenn Davis together, but basketball is what bonded them. While collaborating on Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo, they discovered they were both avid fans of the game. So when Joseph decided to pen a play about two disparate dudes who connect over their love of basketball legend LeBron James, he wrote one role with Davis in mind. After well-reviewed runs at Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre Company and Los Angeles' Mark Taper Forum, King James arrives in New York courtesy of Manhattan Theatre Club, and we're bringing Joseph and Davis together for a one-on-one. Join us on Friday, May 19 at 1 p.m. ET on our Facebook page or our YouTube channel as these longtime friends chat about their favorite sports bars, their most treasured memories of working with Robin Williams on Broadway and why King James will appeal to all audiences, even those who don't know the difference between a tip off and a touchdown.
