TDF Teacher Seminars and Professional Development

Expand your theatre education skills this summer
This summer, TDF is offering a virtual Directing Plays and Musicals in the School and Classroom course through the NYC Department of Education's After School Professional Development Program (ASPDP). Teachers can earn professional credits along the way (P-credits and CTLE hours), and receive a complimentary one-year membership to TDF. Best of all, teachers from anywhere can enroll because it's all online!

Summer P-Credit Course for Teachers: 3 Credits
This summer, learn how to stage shows with your students! Participants will meet with TDF Teaching Artist and award-winning director Stephen DiMenna for two hours each day for a week via Zoom. Demonstrations, discussions and activities will happen online, and teachers will be given assignments to complete on their own and present the next day to the group via Zoom. It's different and new, but we have exciting things planned to explore the art of directing.
Read the complete course description and enroll on the ASPDP site.

If you have questions or want to take the course for no credit, contact Ginger Meagher, TDF’s Director of Education Programs, at GingerB@tdf.org.
