On Wednesday, March 2, 1,500 middle and high school students in TDF’s Stage Doors program attended a performance of The Lion King on Broadway. Prior to the show, all students attended a series of in-class workshops led by teaching artists, and all classroom teachers participated in a special workshop with cast members Kimberly Marable and Mdudzi Madela.
TDF’s Stage Doors program meaningfully introduces middle and high school students to live theatre, at no cost to the schools or students. More than 65,000 students have been served through TDF's Stage Doors since the program was founded in 1995.
