Open Doors
Theatre and dance mentors for high school students
TDF Open Doors is a mentoring program offering small groups of high school students an in-depth introduction to live theatre and dance. Each group works with one or more dedicated theatre and dance professionals throughout the school year.
Play by Play
Theatre magazine by and for teens
What are teens saying about theatre—and how can you get involved? Find the answers, and much more, in Play by Play, a glossy magazine featuring student-written reviews, profiles and interviews, as well as listings of shows students can see for $25 or less.
Residency Arts Project
NYC students learn playwriting from the pros
The TDF Residency Arts Project is an intensive playwriting program that brings teaching artists into the classroom to guide students in writing original scenes and plays. The students' work is then given a public staged reading by professional actors at the end of the school year.
Stage Doors
Workshops that create informed theatergoers
In the TDF Stage Doors program, teaching artists collaborate with classroom teachers to develop a series of eight workshops designed to prepare students for an informed, engaged theatregoing experience, which is the culmination of the program.

TDF Costume Collection
Over 75,000 costumes!
A remarkably rich resource, the TDF Costume Collection offers high-quality costumes and accessories for rent. The stock is donated by Broadway shows, major opera houses and other professional sources. Not-for-profit and commercial customers are eligible to take advantage of the expert design offered through the pulling and mail order department. The TDF Costume Collection resource center is available by appointment.

Many producers utilize the TKTS Discount Booths as a direct marketing tool for surplus seats. In return for offering same-day discounts of between 20% and 50% off full-price tickets, they have access to a large and enthusiastic audience.

Youth Theatre Initiative
